For a massive city of 20 million
people, Mexico City skyline is fairly small, disorganized
and completely lacking in style. Even so, something must be
said for the Paseo de la Reforma area where the Independence
Circle round about is and the El Angel Monument sits like a
sentinel watching over this action-packed megaplois.
Pollution and traffic are major issues in Mexico city,
however recent reforms have seen positive steps in the right
direction. 3 of the tallest 10 buildings were built in 2003
or later which has added new blood and character to a once static skyline.
Because the city is sprawled all over there really is no
ideal place to view the skyline except for within the open
space in Independence Circle or up in the surrounding
mountains. |
