| Canada's energy capital is home
to the second largest concentration of corporate head
offices in the country. Which means there is an unusually
amount of concentrated high-rise office buildings in the CBD
for a city of only 1 million people. Calgary has one of the
densest skylines and although it only has 1 tower over 200
meters, it has another dozens over 150 meters. Also, "The
Bow" is under-construction, is a gorgeous piece of
architecture that will topple the 200 meter mark. Calgary is
surround by rivers and contains a lovely mountain backdrop
to the West. Overall, even though it is a small skyline,
when looking at a night photo or silhouette of the Calgary
skyline, one might mistake it for that of a larger city,
because of the modern style of the thick skyscrapers and the
191 meter Calgary observation tower. |
